As a HVDC Director, Mike Podbesek oversees HVDC design and engineering for Grid United projects, focusing on converter stations and system interfaces. He also supports core functions such as development, commercial activities, and procurement. Mike brings nearly twenty years of power industry experience, including more than a decade in HVDC roles as a senior advisor, subject matter expert, and project lead in both consulting and supplier positions.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from NC State University, is a licensed Professional Engineer, and actively participates in CIGRE and IEEE.
