Ashley McGeary is the Communications Director for Grid United. She is responsible for Grid United’s internal and external communications, public affairs and strategic corporate engagement.
Ashley has extensive experience as a corporate affairs and strategic communications advisor. She previously worked for global financial communications firm Sard Verbinnen & Co (now FGS Global post WPP acquisition) where she was a founding member of the firm’s public affairs practice. She later joined corporate advisory firm Brunswick Group where she served as a cross-border specialist disseminating complex issues across global regulatory capitals for the c-suites of multinational companies to key stakeholder audiences. Ashley has worked on a number of high-profile executive transitions, initial public offerings and corporate crises. Prior to living in Washington, D.C., Ashley lived and worked in rural parts of Asia.
Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree with double majors in art history and classical studies from Rice University and a master’s degree in global communication, with focuses in communication & information technology in international affairs and East Asia, from The George Washington University, Elliott School of International Affairs.
