Lawrence Mott is Vice President of Development, East, for Grid United. In this role, Lawrence lends his deep development and technical experience to leading Grid United’s developing pipeline of Northeast transmission projects. This involves keeping pace with eastern markets and leveraging his four decades of experience in energy project development from idea conception to commercial operations, conducting land lease negotiations and interconnection processes, and community engagement efforts.
Lawrence holds degrees in engineering and business from the University of Vermont. He has served as a board member of American Wind Energy Association, Chair of Renewable Energy Vermont, and NREL Island Communities Advisory, among other transmission/energy sector action groups.
