Madeline Gould Laughlin

Director of Regulatory Affairs

Madeline Gould Laughlin is the Director of Regulatory Affairs for Grid United. She supports the successful execution of Grid United’s portfolio of transmission projects by developing and leading the company’s regional transmission operator and state utility commission engagement and policy strategy.

Prior to joining Grid United, Madeline led policy and regulatory affairs at Enel North America, where she was responsible for managing regulatory risk for all business and product lines in the state of Texas. Madeline began her career at Clean Line Energy Partners before becoming a founding member of the Electricity Markets & Transmission team at the American Wind Energy Association (now American Clean Power). She has also served as a member of the policy and market development team at Arcadia, where she worked to pass legislation and implement new regulations regarding solar development in the West and Midwest.
 
Madeline holds a bachelor’s degree in environment & sustainability and political science from Sewanee: The University of the South and a master’s degree in energy & earth resource management from The University of Texas at Austin.
